Good news for California parents who are now covering a young-adult child on their employer's health plan: You won't have to pay state income taxes on this employer-provided benefit, thanks to a bill signed by Gov.
It is too soon to write off Muammar Gaddafi, who has ruled Libya for 42 years. It is also too soon to expect the military intervention in Libya will end any time soon, with Gaddafi gone. Perhaps the West's last and best hope rests with Turkey.
